I am travelling to Prague this week, then on to Berlin, and have first class air travel (on miles!) booked from Newark to Prague, to Berlin, and back to the US. Question is whether the train ride is spectacular enough to take the train instead, from Prague to Berlin, and if so, is there real difference between first and second class on this train route?

I wouldn%26#39;t call the rail journey %26quot;spectacular%26quot;.
Prague is very popular and the trains can be crowded between Berlin and Prague. I%26#39;d get a seat reservation anytime on this route just to avoid wandering around with luggage trying to find a open seat. First class is much more expensive than Standard class, so there are fewer travelers and more available seats. The difference between First and Standard class is not worth the significant extra cost (buy the reservation instead).
All in all, if you have the journey already booked using air miles, I see no reason to go by rail.
