My husband and I are going to be in Germany from May 7th-May 16th, since we have such a short amount of time we have decided to pick three to four places to visit. As of now all of our travel will be done by train, our first stop after landing in Frankfurt is to Baden-Baden for three days. We want to do some hiking in the area, anyone know of some good long day hikes? We are both in very good physical shape so difficulty is not an issue.
Also we have not decided our other two to three destinations. We know we want to go south and travel through Bavaria we have been thinking about somewhere on Lake Constance, possibly going to Salzburg and then Munich. Any tips on other places that are a must? Or tips on hikes or bike rides at any of the mentioned destinations. Any information right now would be great!! Even hotels that are exceptional.

They are aplenty, all of them well signposted. Tourist information in the old pump room, next to the casino is handing out maps.
The recommendable panoramic circular track around the town is stretching for 30 miles:

Climb the stairs from %26quot;Marktplatz%26quot; to the new castle (Neues Schloss), wherefrom you can walk up to the impressive ruined old castle (Altes Schloss) and on to the Battert rocks. (Battert Felsen) Make sure to follow the signs from the old castle towards %26quot;Oberer Felsenweg%26quot;. Though you don%26#39;t have to climb, the Oberer Felsenweg is only advisable in dry weather.

Buses 204 and 204 are going to %26quot;Merkurwald%26quot; where there is the lower terminus of the Merkur funicular. Both, the lower and the upper terminus are starting points of great hiking trails. And so and so forth :-)
