Is there snow on the ground in the middle of march in Munich or the rest of Germany? How cold is it on average? Is easter a big holiday in Germany? Do all the shops, restaurants, etc close for Good Friday? Easter Sunday/Monday?

I am no expert, but I doubt there will be snow on the ground by then. Temperatures will probably be in the 50%26#39;s during the day, upper 40%26#39;s at night.
In Munich proper, some stores will probably be open Friday and Saturday. Sunday, like all Sundays, will be quiet. Monday will be about the same as Saturday.
If you get desparate, go to the Main rail station (Hauptbahnhof) and things will be open.

Weather is unpredictable. For example we had approx 20 degrees celsius yesterday, which is more a late April/early may temperature. However snow is possible but I think unlikely. My guess are temperatures somewhere between +5 and +15 degrees celsius.
All shops (exept at the airport, train-station and gifts shops) will be cloes on Good Friday and Easter Monday (which are bank holidays) and Easter-Sunday (as all Sundays).
Restaurants and sights will be open and many Sights open on Easter for the summer season.

I am also planning to travel then and was hoping to do the Allianz stadium tour on Good Friday. Does anyone know if it will be on?

I am sorry but - I looked it up - on Good Friday the Allianz Arena stadium is closed.
By the way, so far we didn%26#39;t have snow in Munich this winter and now it is like in spring (it is only still a little cold at night).

Thank you for the weather update. That was so helpful. I have seen that it is not overly cold there right now and was planning warm clothes over the Easter weekend. Danke. I will be planning a bit differently now.

It%26#39;s my uinderstanding that the the chances of snow are slim. Cold weather is definatly possible. Everything is pretty much closed on sundays. Also, the friday before easter is sort of a holiday and most everything will be closed too.
