Airport to Tiergarten

We are staying at a hotel near the Tiergarten underground station (hotel name: Novotel Berlin Am Tiergarten). What is the best way to get from the airport to the hotel? We would prefer to use public transportation, but please let me know if it is difficult to do so.

Single ticket is EUR 2,10.

Tiergarten is not an U-Bahn but an S-Bahn station. Also not underground.

Thanks for the info. Based on the maps I was looking at it looked relatively simple. But it never hurts to ask people who know for sure. :)

We are flying into Tegel/Berlin.

Tegel (TXL) is relative close to Tiergarten - considering the size of Berlin. Just follow the suggestions of the BVG timetable.
