We will be in Frankfurt for two nights end December before joining our family for Christmas in Prague.
I am having trouble finding accommodation right in the historical part of Frankfurt. Any suggestions on any standard of accommodation would be appreciated.

select under %26quot;Search for highlights%26quot; [R?mer/R?merberg] and click on OK.
The %26quot;green houses%26quot; are just congress venues, no hotels. Thus there you%26#39;ll find that there are not that many hotels at all. But at least you can see the ones which are there and check them out.
R?mer is the name of the town hall, which consists out of several houses becoming the town hall with the times.
R?merberg is the name of the place before the R?mer and also the name of this quarter of the old city centre.
There is nothing really historical there. The old city centre was completely destroyed in WWII. There are a few rebuilts, like the R?mer itself.

Thank you so much. Would you suggest this is the best part to be in bearing in mind we really can%26#39;t get much of a feel of Frankfurt in the time given. This is just a quick stopover and we intend coming back to Germany in the not too distant future.
Thanks again.

If you can find something which is available and in your price range there is no reason not to stay there.

Thanks again. Very much appreciate your valued advice.
