driving times to italy

Has anyone ever driven from Munich to the Tuscany region of Italy, and knows approximately how long it takes?

Hi,

depending where exactly you want to go and what time of the year. W/o holiday traffic expect approx.7-8 hours to Florence if you stick more or less to speed limits.

Hope this helps.

costs for the most direct route

- vignette sticker Inntal autobahn in Austria: EUR 7,70

- toll Brenner autobahn in Austria: EUR 8,00

- toll Italian autostradas e.g. to Florence: EUR 24,90

Driving makes only sense if you plan to return the rental car in Germany (if it is a rental car). International drop off fees are really high.

When renting please note that most rental companies won%26#39;t let you drive with an Audi, BMW or Mercedes into Italy.
