Hi!
We%26#39;re looking at flying into Dusseldorf-Weeze in March.
--- First of all, could someone let me know how much it might cost to get into Dusseldorf City Centre by bus - do they have a service like this from the airport?
--- Second of all, I%26#39;m looking at hotels that include a free transportation voucher but would like to compare how much it would be for the hotel only and then buying a travel card when we arrive??
--- Third of all, could you also provide info re: area? I%26#39;m looking at hotels in the City Centre, Neuss or City North. We just want to have a nice city break, easy transport and the option to go all over the city.
Thanks for your help in advance!!

Weeze is some 80 km west of Dsseldorf.
There is a shuttle bus. But you could also use public transport.

Local public transport day ticket for Dsseldorf is EUR 5,00.
The mini group (up to 5 persons) version is EUR 11,00.

I love the North Park if the weather is good. Take the U79 tram to the aqua zoo stop. Tiny aquarium but beautiful grounds. If you are traveling with kids who want to go into the museum you can get a family card.
There is a restaurant in the park that you can have everything from a waffle and coffe to a full meal.
I also like Robert%26#39;s Bistro for a nice meal in the Hafen area.
Kaiserswerth - Tram U79 to Klemsplatz has a tiny ruin of a castle and a casual retaurant called Burghof? on the rhine near the castle ruins where you can sit and people watch.

Weeze is also worth a look, if you have time. It has a very pretty centre and, unexpectedly to me at any rate, a massive pilgrim shrine in its heart. I%26#39;d love to go back.

duh, ps, that was Kevalaer, where we stayed for Weeze airport!
