I%26#39;m planning a day cruise on the Rhine in late May. We%26#39;ll only have the day with a KD Rhine Pass, but I want to see as much as possible. It seems there are quite a few stops on the cruise - does anyone have any recommendations for %26quot;must see%26quot; castles or other sites along the river?
Thanks so much!

Hi wildatheart74,
it s not really easy to give you any sugestions. There re so many castles and ruins at the rhine between Koblenz and Bingen.
The Marksburg is a really great castle, because it was never destroyed. Burg Rheinfels at St. Goar was the biggest castle at the whole river rhine. It was destroyed by the french, but its ruins are still a great monument to visit and explore. Bacharach and Oberwesel are really cute little midevial towns. If you have the time make a stopp there, walk through the old streets and take a glas of fantastic rhine vine. I m sure you will like it.
Here re some links for you:
Bacharach: http://www.bacharach.de/
St. Goar: http://www.st-goar.de/
Marksburg: http://www.marksburg.de/default.htm
Site of the worldheritage: http://www.welterbe-mittelrheintal.de/
All this sites are available in english.
