skiing resorts

Anyone can tell if there are any skiing resorts near Darmstadt, near Frankfurt.

Where they are and the best ones,please!

sorted by distance (and at the same time by the chance for snow and the skiing possibilities)

a) Odenwald (next to Darmstadt)

There are a few lifts. But no snow this winter so far.

Something for beginners.

b) Northern Black Forest

Not much snow this winter either.

c) Southern Black Forest / Feldberg

Probably the closest area which could be described as a skiing resort.

d) Swiss Alps

If the snow situation is good at b) there are buses at weekends from Darmstadt, Mannheim etc. to the slopes. Which means it can be pretty busy at weekends.

You could consider flying to Salzburg or Innsbruck from Frankfurt and ski in a resort in Austria.
