Tickets for the Frankfurt Opera

Hi

I am trying to buy 3 tickets for a Opera performance in Frankfurt next month.I have seen the Opera House website and they sell the tickets online,but they have a half-price ticket for students.

Does anyone know if it is only available for German Students or if a Student from other country may have this reduced price?

We are planning to go to Frankfurt by train from Heidelberg.

We arrive on Friday and leave on Sunday.

We would like to stay in a Hotel close to the main sighs(Romer,Opera,Goethe house,Museum of Modern art and as well as the most famous shopping area) ,with easy access to the main railway station.

Do you think the Westin Grand Frankfurt will be a good option?

Westin Grand will be a great option, if you can afford it. It is at the Zeil and has some restaurants/bars nearby. It is a bit of walking to the old opera, but rather near all the other major sights and has perfect connection to public transportation and the train station. I am just wondering if theis is the best option value-wise. nh hotel is next door, interesting to compare the rates.

I have seen the rates in Nh Hotels and it has a big difference between de Westin rates and Nh!!Probably I will choose the last one!
