Wombat's City Hostel

My wife and I are taking our three children (14,12 %26amp; 5) to Munich at the end of March. Does anyone have information on the Wombat City Hostel located next to the train station? Has anyone stayed here before? Anyone stayed with a family? Thanks

Plenty of reviews right here on TripAdvisor. Sounds like a frat house kind of atmosphere.

Thanks, I may be canceling my reservation.

Wombat%26#39;s is undoubtedly central located and a good backpackers%26#39; hostel.

As a rule of thumb the official DJH/HI hostels are more family friendly than backpackers%26#39; hostels. If you see the reviews it%26#39;s exactly the kids the backpackers don%26#39;t like. Albeit school classes are here even %26quot;worse%26quot; than families.

Dachau (explicitly marked as family friendly)

Don%26#39;t let you deter by the name Dachau. Dachau itself is a nice Bavarian town close to Munich.

Mini group day ticket Dachau+Munich is EUR 11,80. Munich alone would be EUR 9,00.

You might consider the YMCA guest house close to the train station. That%26#39;s a place better suited for families and kids.
