25 hours hotel-Recommendations for city center hotel

Hello! Does anybody staied at this hotel? I read the reviews and they are quite good but I am a little bit worried about the area if it is far and not very convenient for going to the center. Otherwise does anybody have recommendations for a not expensive, modern hotel in the center of the city?

Thank you in advance.

Hi kiks

I think you are quite right. The hotel is supposed to be good but the area is really boring and quite inconvenient to reach. There are other hotels near the city center where the surrounding is much nicer. I just posted a list of 3-star hotels near the town-hall in another post and I think the link I posted there as well as the hotels should be helpful for you as well:

The thread is called: Hotels near the town hall (Rathaus)

Try name your own price%26#39; at priceline.com, you can get downtown hotels, for example the 4 atar hotel Renaissance for about 60 $, but check biddingfortravel. com first.

Hope it helps.

Thanks for your answers, we finally booked to Arcotel Rubin that I think is quite good located. I hope it is a good hotel as there are not many reviews for it. Have you heard anything about it? Also the area does anybody knows if it is ok? (Not a little dangerous in the night?)

Thanks.

Hi kiks

I don%26#39;t know the Arcotel Rubin as it is quite a new one. St. Georg used to be one of the more run-down areas but this has been changing for some years now. There are still some shabby places but more and more restaurants, coffee shops and interesting shops attract more and more poeple and so it is now %26#39;in%26#39; to go shopping there or just to go out in the evening. It is still not that well known for having changed but especially Lange Reihe attracts people of different cultures and backgrounds again. The press already said that St. Georg is about to become the new in-district of Hamburg.

For having a beer, I would recommend going to Caf Urlaub or %26#39;Turnhalle%26#39;:

Would be great to hear how you liked the hotel.

Thanks for your answers!

I will try the places you suggested and for sure I will write a review for the hotel.
