Rail Pass or Bahn Card 25

Hi, as I%26#39;ve mentioned in some of my other posts, I%26#39;m traveling to Europe over the summer and I%26#39;m trying to figure out what would be a good rail pass to get. The trips I%26#39;m taking areas follows: Berlin-Dresden-Prague-Olomouc-Brno-Bratislava then Vienna-Salzburg-Munich, and finally Trier-Cologne-Berlin. I%26#39;m taking a boat from Bratislava and renting a car for the other leg. Overall I believe I have 6 days of travel in Austria/Germany, and another 3 or so in Czech Republic. I%26#39;ve found a Eurail pass that fits my needs for about $360, but the large part of the journey, from Cologne to Berlin will be my largest expense and I don%26#39;t know if the Bahn Card would be better because of this. Also, if you wouldn%26#39;t mind explaining how the bahn card works. It seems fairly vauge on the bahn.de website. Thanks a lot for eveyrone%26#39;s help

You buy a Bahncard 25 (55 Euro) or a BahnCard 50 (220 Euro) and are entitled to 25 resp. 50% discount on train tickets (full price) within Germany, and 25% discount on trips going to Austria or Switzerland (only cross-border tickets, not for trips entirely within Austria or Switzerland)
