Hotel recommendation

Hi,

I am visiting Berlin between the 20th to 26th May, 2008 along with my wife and am searching for a decent low cost hotel near the Potsdamer Platz, more specifically the Schoeneberger Strasse.

Would appreciate a lot if anyone can recommend me some hotels in this area...

There are several nice hotels in the area, which are quite affordable:

* An Ibis hotel

* Suite Hotel, which is - as the name may say, a suite (apartment) hotels, but is serviced, well designed and is basically a hotel. I can recommend this hotel

* Holiday Inn Express

* Accor

I would recommend the Suite Hotel, my husband and i have stayed here twice now and it is superb for location and is always clean and tidy. Staff are friendly and helpful.

I%26#39;d agree the SuiteHotel is great. About 10 minute walk from Potsdamerplatz, next to an S Bahn station and on several bus routes so everywhere pretty accessible

Is it easy to get to/from the airport to the Suite Hotel?

Hi - from memory we took the Airport Express from Schoenefeld to Friedrichstrasse and then transferred onto S Bahn for a couple of stops to Anhalter Bahnhof. The hotel is just over the road from the S Bahn station. I%26#39;d say it was fine with wheelie bags or a rucksack. There is a journey planner on www.bvg.de that gives you all the info you need on tickets etc.
