I fancy a couple of days in Weil am Rhein, and I particulary want to get to the Vitra design museum. From the small maps that I%26#39;ve found, it seems as though it%26#39;s quite a ways out of town, and maybe not near public transport. Could anyone advise me, please?
And, did I understand right, the BW Laender Ticket is good right through to Basel?
And, what else is there to do in the area? No car, public transport only.
Thankyou.

%26gt;maybe not near public transport%26lt;
Bus stop %26quot;Vitra%26quot; is in front of the museum. Walking distance to the town center is 10 minutes.
%26gt;what else is there to do in the area?%26gt;
Weil am Rhein itself is not exactly a sight, but it is actually a suburb of Basel, where there are a lot of sights to see.
Bus 55 direction %26quot;Claraplatz%26quot; is going to Basel%26#39;s town centre.
Buses No. 12 and 16 are running to %26quot;Kleinhningen%26quot;, where you can change for trams to the town center.

As of may day there is a historic train running between Weil-Haltingen and Kandern (on sundays):
kandertalbahn.de/html/fahrplan/fahrzeiten.htm
Freiburg and Colmar are also worth a trip.
For Colmar you have to change trains at Basel SBB station.
