Suggested Itinerary?

Hi. Am going to Munich/Bavaria for 9 days in March. Would like to visit Garmisch, castles near Fussen, Mittenwald and possibly Austria or Rothenburg . Any suggested itinerary of towns to see near there? Can I travel there by bus/train? What is the cheapest way to travel around by bus/train? Should I get a Bayern ticket every day? Thank you!

Thanks for the suggestions. Do you know how I can travel from Innsbruck to hallstatt by train? How much will it cost? Are the tickets like the Bayern ticket in Austria?

To and from Salzburg you can use the Bayern Ticket. The buses there are however not covered.

To Innsbruck you can use the Bayern Ticket as far as Mittenwald or Kufstein.

Salzburg is just OK for a day trip. Rothenburg and Innsbruck are definitely on the limit for a day trip.

Place like Hallstatt are not in day trip distance from Munich.

Garmisch, Mittenwald, F��ssen, Salzburg

Here the Bayern Ticket is a good deal for.
