Hi, I have booked into this hotel for 3 nights at the beginning of June. We arrive Sunday afternoon and leave Wednesday afternoon. This will be our 1st visit to the city and would like advice on what to see, do where to eat etc... My son is 17 and studying the History for A levels so already knows a few places he wants to see. ie Reichstag Building,Brandenburg Gate,The Holocaust Memorial,Berlin Wall Museum and Potsdamer Platz. Is it fairly easy to get around and see all this. Can you buy tickets for the transport systems and also will the weather be hot in June. Thank you boo5

These 4 are next to each other.

You may consider a 72 h Berlin Welcome Card. Which will in your case pay nearly alone for public transport (as Su afternoon till We afternoon are 72 h).

Possible. But no must.
Best would be start with one of the walking tours. They are really informative and a good introduction into this complex and widespread city. E.g.

Hi - all of the places you%26#39;ve listed here are within easy walking distance of each other. Berlin is a good city for walking as its flat and relatively compact. If you want to use public transport it is cheap and easy to use. Try the website www.bvg.de for more info re public transport.
If you are going to the Reichstag go early or late in the day as the queues can be very long - I%26#39;ve only been in October but I imagine they would be longer in June. Having said that it is worth the wait for the views of the city. The Fernsehturm near Alexanderplatz is good for views too.
If you are interested in history a day out in Potsdam would be worthwhile - easy to do by train.
For places to eat I%26#39;d head to Kollwitzplatz in Prenzlauerberg from your hotel. Good choice staying in the East of the city - I much prefer it to the west as most of the older buildings, museums etc are here.
Hope you have a great time.
