Any cheap and cheerful restaurants in Lubeck.

Being more of a long lunch person than an evening meal person are there any restaurants offering some cheap and cheerful lunch options in Lubeck? What are the best areas to go to for choice?

We had a very pleasant, outdoor lunch at a restaurant whose name I have forgotten. But it is easy to find: Coming from the Holstentor, after you cross the bridge, turn immediately right. The restaurant is just a few steps away, overlooking the Trave river.

There are several other restaurants right at the main square (Marktplatz). The old part of Luebeck is very compact for walking around.

I had a nice long lunch in the main square near the town hall %26amp; Marienkirche in Altstadt part of Luebeck.

The name of the restaurant is escaping me, but it was the busiest restaurant in the square, and they had several lunch specials for less than 10 euros. They also had North German specialties like Bohnen Birne Speck and labskaus on the menu. There are lots of restaurants in the Altstadt- that%26#39;s where I would go for choice.

Enjoy Luebeck- it%26#39;s one of the most beautiful oldtowns I%26#39;ve ever visited. And if you like Marzipan, this is the place to buy some.
