Hi everyone,
My connection flight has a stop in Munich for 11 hr. I will be taking the train from the airoport to central Munich. Then..... (please fill in the blank with any attraction sights I can visit).
Thank you so much

With the time you have, I would limit the trip to taking the S-8 S-Bahn line to Marienplatz. You hit many of the highlights in a compact area.
With 11 hours, you have to allow about 45 minutes each way to and from the airport, going through security, etc.
By sticking to the Marienplatz area, you are close to the S-8 line to get back to the airport as quickly as possible.

Excellent suggestion. I could not have said it better...

I should have said more. When you arrive at Marienplatz, you will be right at the town hall (Rathaus) and the Glockenspiel up in the tower plays at 11:00AM and noon (I%26#39;m pretty sure, anyway).
With the Rathaus at your back, walk a block over to the Viktualienmarkt (outdoors farmers%26#39; market kind of thing). Interesting browsing and some inexpensive food places.
Back at the Rathus, facing it, take the street to the left and walk about 4 blocks to the Theatinerkirche (goldish-colored church on the left).
Back at the Rathaus, get directions to the Hofbr?uhaus at the tourist office - it is only about a ten minute walk. Great fun beer hall!
Facing the Rathaus - the church with the two domed towers to your left (Frauenkirche) is worth a peek inside (look for the devel%26#39;s foot print in the floor at the main entrance.) You can go up to the top of one of the towers - great photo op!

Absolutely agree about Marienplatz- its the heart of the old city! I also really think the climb up the tower of the Alte Peter is amazing! I thought the carillon rings at 9 am, but that was many years ago... There was a neat restaurant in a Cellar near the Residenze Museum operated by monks- totally authentic. Hofbrauhaus works too!
Enjoy!
