We are arriving in FRA to rent a motorhome for 4 weeks %26amp; are wondering about buying our own bed linen, doona %26amp; pillows rather than rent them from the RV rental people.
Could anyone advise the approximate cost of some Supermarket pillows, sheets %26amp; doona suitable for this purpose %26amp; perhaps suggest a charity for us to give them on to when we leave?

You can get the duvet cover and a pillow case in sets starting from 9.99. You can get the actual pillow from around 5 and the duvet from around 15. Linens start from around 5 as well.
There are plenty of red-cross and other charity collection boxes all across town - or you hand it over to the Salvation Army (Heilsarmee) at the train station or airport...

You cant buy pillows at the supermarket here. Try IKEA for resonably priced bed linens.

You can%26#39;t buy linens and sheets at grocery stores, which Germans refer to as supermarkets. But at the real supermarkets like %26quot;real%26quot; or %26quot;toom%26quot; or others you%26#39;ll find your sheets and linens. As I said in the other thread, there is a %26quot;real%26quot; store not too far from your hotel...

Bring your own?
If you don%26#39;t have a set you mind getting rid of already in a cupboard, then you%26#39;re set.
Otherwise, drop by a charity shop and pick up a set (you%26#39;d probably want new pillows, though!) and give them a good wash. (at least with renting houses, I%26#39;ve never seen pillows as part of the linens package -- they%26#39;re already there.)
Then if you have room to bring them back, fantastic, but if you%26#39;re pressed for room in your bags, you can donate them as above -- and you%26#39;ve helped two charities...the one you bought from and the one you%26#39;re donating to.
