Prague Dresden Berlin Trip Report

Have just returned from a week that consisted of flying Easyjet from UK to Prague, stayed three nights then train to Dresden for two nights, train to Berlin for one night and Ryanair home. The train journeys were done in the morning and lasted 2-2.5 hours.

The timings gave me approx two days in each city and I would highly recommend this itinerary as a means of exploring central Europe. Each city is very different and, surprisingly, looking back Dresden was my favourite.

The whole area has probably had more than its fair share of 20th century history but that made for lots of interest as well as sights ancient and modern. Public transport is extremely efficient although Prague Holesovice Station is not a place that I would recommend spending any more time in than is absolutely necessary. People were friendly and helpful and I was able to book train tickets in advance through Deutsche Bahn UK office.

Very glad to hear you enjoyed your trip. I am even more glad but not so much surprised that Dresden was your favourite. Since I am a local I am somewhat biased, hehe ;-)
