After our overnight transatlantic flight, we%26#39;ll continue our trip by train to Aachen. Is it easy to locate the train platform at Frankfurt airport? Is it advisable to purchase train tickets in advance or at time of arrival, given possible delay in flight arrival. Thanks!

Check if you can get Rail%26amp;Fly tickets from your airline

This would be the best solution. Cheap and flexible (good for the arrival day or day after).
Otherwise you can buy ticket after arriving at Frankfurt Airport.

Frankfurt airport has got two train stations. One is called %26quot;Local trains station%26quot; and the other %26quot;Long distance trains station%26quot;. You%26#39;re looking for the latter one.
From Terminal one it%26#39;s about a 10mins walk to the train station. Just follow the signs. If you arrive at Terminal 2 you need to take the people mover called %26quot;SkyLine%26quot; to get to Terminal 1, concourse B and then follow the signs. In that case total travel time is around 20 minutes.
