Rock am ring/Rock in Park Concert

I heard about these concerts on at the Nurburgring first weekend in June. Researching the information you only seem to be able to buy 3day tickets. Does anybody know if you can buy just 1day tickets? Also is there anyway of finding out who is playing on which day?

My other concern is parking as the group of friends all have pretty nice cars which I doubt they would park in a field. Is there anywhere nearby that you can pay for secure parking.

Anybody that can answer any of these questions - thank you in advance

Rock am Ring is at the Nrburgring. Inside the Nrburgring there is the Nrburg (Burg = castle) itself and a tiny village (169 inhabitants) with the same name in the Eifel.

Nrburg is inside the northern loop of the old Nrburgring, not inside the Formula 1 race track (southern loop).

This is - by German standards - a really remote area.

while the festival is at the Formula 1 race track, the northern loop is used for camping and parking. Camping directly next to the track is one of the things which made this race track so famous.

Rock im Park is at the Zeppelin Field in Nrnberg (English: Nuremberg). Slightly bigger - 501.620 inhabitants. There is also a race track: Norisring, directly next to the Zeppelin Field and a also a castle (but in the old city centre)

The Dutzendteich area (named after the lake there) is the %26quot;event area%26quot; of Nuremberg, there is e.g. the football stadium, the beer festival grounds (at other times of the year), the Messe (trade fair grounds), the Norisring (only if there are races). As it is so convenient, this area was also used as party really grounds by the Nazis.

Well connected by public transport (S-Bahn, trams, buses). The festival ticket does also include free public transport in Nuremberg and the whole VGN area.

Thank you for the information on this. This makes it a clearer

I%26#39;ve been to RockamRing the past 3 years. It%26#39;s a blast! If you don%26#39;t mind paying the extra money stay at the Nurburgring Camp Site right next to the race track. They have hot showers and running water there. You can also park right next to your campsite. I don%26#39;t believe you can just buy a ticket for 1 day. If you are going to go stay for the whole party. It%26#39;s worth it!

Can you still ride the track during the concert??

Not the Nordshclaffe!!! It%26#39;s all closed, not sure about the Grand prix course, but I think the entire track is dedicated to the festival, no racing. It%26#39;s super packed full of drunk and disorderly folks so racing wouldn%26#39;t mix! LOL
