I am going to be in Munich for a few days in March, and will be visiting a friend who lives in Kaufbeuren.
What would be the most delicious/nicest place I could take her for lunch in or close to Kaufbeuren ?
And... I get car-sick very easily. Is the road from Munich to Kaufbeuren a staright highway -- or very twisty mountain roads ? Do I need to buy motion sickness pills in advance of the drive from Munich to Kaufbeuren ?
Thank you for the help !

Don%26#39;t worry, you won%26#39;t need motion sickness pills.
Don%26#39;t know about restaurants in Kaufbeuren,
I know this place
www.katzbrui-muehle.de/Finden/finden.htm
which has a rustic touch and really nice food
and heard good things about this one in Bad W?rishofen
http://www.muschitz-einrestaurant.de/haus.htm
supposedly more upmarket and chic (Have a look at their Wochenkarte to check the prices)

Surely not. Its flat plain all the way.
Alternatively you can simply take the train to kaufbeuren if you dont want to drive.

Thank you Kwenga and Altamiro ! I am glad to know that the drive is flat, and I will check out the two restaurants !

The red Guide Michelin lists 3 hotels with retaurants in Kaufbeuren - - Goldener Hirsch, Am Kamin, Am Turm und Gasthof Leitner. The first 2 are a bit more upscale. Looks like all are closed on Mondays. Haven no experience with any of them; I tend to drive right through Kaufbeuren. Incidentally, Fuessen is only 39km from Kaufbeuren and there are more choices.

Well, if you are willing to drive to Fuessen, Hohenschwangau is next door and you could eat lunch at the Hotel Lisl there, which has excellent food including a lot of flamed things, and the restaurant also has lovely close-up views of Neuschwanstein Palace.

Good Thursday morning to you, Treplow and Marcopolko ! Thank you very much for both of those suggestions. It helps so much to have advice from people who know the best places !
