We are travelling to Munich over Easter. We will spend the first 2 nights in Munich, the 3rd in Rothenburg visiting N?rdlingen and Dinkelsbhl on the way, the 4th in Bamberg and not sure where to spend the 5th one.
I was considering either Neuburg or Eichst?tt to avoid so much driving but not sure if we are missing a real must see by not visiting Regensburg.
Should we allow extra time to reach Munich%26#39;s airport on Easter%26#39;s Monday due to traffic jams?

Can%26#39;t help you with the traffic on Easter Monday, but I have been to Regensburg and will be there again next Saturday. I think it is a must see and worth a little extra dirve. I hope to get to Neuburg an der Donau this trip so I can update in about 10 days an opinion on that. Regensburg is pretty tough to beat. The Hotel Kaiserhof am Dom is on a pedestrian platz right across from the Dom cathederal, reasonable rates, get a room facing the Dom. Awesome.
Enjoy.

I guess that I do not believe in %26quot;must sees%26quot;. Still, I have come to really appreciate Regensburg. I love both the Dom already mentioned and the river front. It is interesting to contrast dark gothic Dom with the Baroque make-over of the Alte Kapelle. If you go, try to also see the Roman gate, Porta Praetoria. It is interesting how it was incorporated into other buildings in the middle ages. My wife took a tour of the Thurn and Taxis residence/palace that she much enjoyed.
All that said, there are many fine sights in Germany rather than a few %26quot;must sees%26quot;.
Regards, Gary

Agree with Trikist, it%26#39;s hard to say %26quot;must sees%26quot;. So many riches, you just have to make a choice.
Personally we preferred Passau to Regensburg when we visited both during a week%26#39;s stay in the area. However thsat%26#39;s too far down the Danube for you this trip....

Thank you all for your help. We will go for Regensburg (Hotel Kaiserhof am Dom already booked) and will visit Neuburg an der Donau on our way to Rothenburg.
