Museums & tourist places on Sunday

Hi There,

I am visiting Berlin over the Easter weekend and wanted to make the most of my 3.5 day stay. We arrive on Saturday morning and would like to cram in as much as possible - from shopping, sightseeing to bars/restaurants and the nightlife. Would it be best to leave sightseeing for the Sunday as I am assuming with it being a Easter holiday - the shops will be closed on the Sunday/Monday? Can anyone confirm?

Also where are the best shopping areas?

The best area for restaurants?

The best area for nice bars/clubs?

We will be staying at the Hilton Hotel.

Shops will be closed on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. All public holidays.

There are however some shops in the bigger railway stations which are open.

Sights will be open. On Easter Monday there are also museums open which are normally closed every Monday.

Public transport runs on the extended night schedule of Sa/So also on Easter Sa/Mo night.

Berlin is a huge and wide spread city with no real centre. There is thus no single %26quot;best area%26quot;.

Clubs are really spread over the city.

Best would be to inform you in advance what is interesting for you (there is something for any taste). Small problem in Berlin: don%26#39;t trust any source which is older than a few months. This is a fast moving place.

Thank you for your reply! That answers my main question - will leav the sightseeing for Sunday/Monday and do the shopping/gifts on the Saturday.

For bars - like something chic - not too loud, something with mellow house music in the backgroud - where you can enjoy a cocktail/drink and some conversation.

Club - House/RnB - crowd from around 25yr up? nothing too young - any suggestions?

Also best way to get aorund is bus/U behn? so recommend the three day travel card? Will the bus 100 run on sunday/monday (easter weekend)
