Germany on own

Hi, I%26#39;ve posted a few other messages and appreciate everyone%26#39;s help. As I%26#39;ve mentioned I%26#39;m going to Germany in May and I%26#39;ll be staying at hostels most of the time. I%26#39;m 25 and speak a little German but I was wondering if anyone has been to Germany on their own are people fairly open or do many people keep to themselves or their groups? Just trying to gauge the atmosphere I might encounter. Thanks

That%26#39;s already a lot more than most foreign tourists do.

Depends on the region. People in the Rhineland (Cologne) are e.g. more open than the people of Hamburg.

This is nothing Germany specific. People in groups stick often together wherever they come from. You%26#39;ll find it easier to get in contact with other single travelers.

What%26#39;s your itinerary? You can even get in contact with other travelers and locals thru this forum.
