I%26#39;ll be in Frankfurt with my husband one evening at the end of April. We would like to indulge in some traditional German food with some good beer. Prefer to be a place where there are not a lot of tourists.
We are staying at the Intercity Hotel by the main train station.
Any recommendations would be very helpful!
Thanks!
Debbie

If you want great local food, hardly any tourists in a location that%26#39;s more than 500 years old, go to the %26quot;Zur Sonne%26quot; on Berger St. in the North of Frankfurt.
Frankfurt is an apple wine city but of course they serve local beers as well.

%26quot;Cafe Gr?ssenwahn%26quot; in the heart of the Nordend has been Frankfurt%26#39;s favorite restaurant for 30 years and counting. Anything you order here is bound to be amazing (although the food is not necessarily traditional German, but more a blend of European gourmet highlights. The downside is that it will be crowded if not overrun.
Other non-touristy places are %26quot;Atschel%26quot;, %26quot;Feuerr?dsche%26quot; and %26quot;Fichtekr?nzi%26quot; in Sachsenhausen (all of which are traidiotnal apple wine places).
