Do you need to bring a lot of cash or...

Hey guys I really appreciate who ever takes the time to answer my question!.

Am going on a trip to Munich and I was wondering if when I land immigration will ask if I have a lot of cash with me, I like using cash cards and CC and do not plan on bringing more than 500 euros with me, am staying for just 10 days, you guys think is OK?

Thanks so much

Buying cash at home is so much more expensive than withdrawing it from ATM%26#39;s inside Germany - no matter if you use debit or even credit cards. All major stores, hotels etc. accept credit cards and the maestro and Visa Eletron debit card systems are pretty much everywhere as well.

Some taxi drivers only accept cash (though not all) and some smaller B%26amp;B%26#39;s in rural areas don%26#39;t accept credit cards either. But that%26#39;s pretty much it.

Immigration won%26#39;t ask you how much money you have. Yes, as has been asked here many times before, if you feel more comfortable having some Euros before you arrive, then do so. But I would recommend that you keep that to a minimum and get cash at Bankautomats ATM%26#39;s).

Ditto both the above. You may wish to wait until you get to the Munich airport and then use one of the numerous ATM machines to withdraw a small amount of Euros. As a suggestion, check the websites for your bankcards and your credit/debit cards and see how much they charge for foreign currency %26quot;conversions%26quot;--ie the rate they add in addition to standard ATM charges and currency exchange rate. You may find that one of your cards has a much lower rate than the others.
