Berlin Welcome card on public transport

I think I have this right, but would like clarification please.

If I arrive in Berlin on Friday evening, purchase a Welcome card and validate it then to use the S-Bahn to get to my hotel, it is valid on public transport till the equivilant time on Sunday night. Correct?

This means I can use it all day Saturday and Sunday to get back to the airport as well.

Thanks for the clarification!

Yes for the 48h Berlin Welcome Card.

The 72h version would be even valid till Monday same time.

These cards are valid from the time of validation (stamping) for 48/72 hours.

Thanks, that makes it a worthwhile buy then!

Hi abalada, what is this 72 version card? is it Global city card? should I get zone ab or zone abc? thanks for the info, cheers.

www.visitberlin.de/welcomecard/index.php

Potsdam and Oranienburg (Sachsenhausen concentration camp) are in zone Berlin C.

If you stick to Berlin you only need the zones AB.
