Trier Graveyards?

I am traveling to Trier in mid March. My father was born in Trier in 1955, and a few years later he and my grandmother moved to America. I know that my great grandmother is buried in Trier, but that is about all I know. Her last name was Kraft (I am not sure if that is the correct spelling). I was hoping to possibly find her grave site, but I have no clue where to begin, does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Graves are cleared in Germany after 15-25 years.

Exceptions

- if this is a family grave, i.e. someone renews the lease anew from time to time to keep the grave for the family

- memorial graves

Do they usually remove the headstones as well? I know she probably died in the late 30%26#39;s or early 40%26#39;s. Thanks for the quick response, I really appreciate the information.

Contact the City of Trier at:

The graves are in first place cleared above the surface. Depending on demand the plot is than let again and reused. The lease period is chosen in a way that normally nothing is left after this period from a corpse.

It does however in no way harm to contact the above given mail address.
