It will take you between 45 mn and one hour. From Sch?nefeld Airport take the urban railway (S-Bahn) in direction Spandau (S9) to the station Hackescher Markt. From there take the Tram M1.

Taking the tram might be confusing and slow when you arrive. You might as well change trains in Baumschulenweg or Ostkreuz and then go by circle line (S41) to the stations Prenzlauer Allee or Sch?nhauser Alle, both situated in Prenzlauer Berg.

We took the Airport Express train to Alexanderplatz Station and then took the tram which I thought was very straightforward. All the travel info you are likely to need is on the www.bvg.de website which has got a door to door journey planner on and maps. You only need an AB zone ticket to get in from the airport - a day ticket is about 6 Euros.
