Moving to Wiesbaden English Speaking Ballet Classes

We are moving to Wiesbaden withing six months and I would like to know if anyone knows if there are English friendly ballet schools. I have 7 and 8 year old girls who have taken ballet for 5 years and would like to continue. we are in the military, but I am not sure about the quality of the classes on the army post.

Thank you

I am not sure how advanced the courses are on base, but there area many US girls who take ballet at German studios. I don%26#39;t think language is a general issue- the terminology is in French, so if they listen and watch, they%26#39;ll know what to do. They%26#39;ll also pick up some German, and it will get you a foot in the door to meet local folks who have kids the age of yours. Most adults speak at least some English, many speak fluent English. I would NOT let language be a barrier to your girls getting the dance lessons at an appropriate level I will ask around and try to find out the names of a few dance schools. Be prepared to pay more, though, since the dollar is so, so low. Please feel free to ask me any other questions- I%26#39;ve lived here for 8 years. Which housing area will you live in?

Thanks for the information. I have heard that the German studios are a good place to attend. We do not know which housing area we will live in yet. I would like to ask you more questions as they come up if it is ok.

Thank you

I have also just recently moved to Germany and am looking for a ballet class for my daughter. She has had 2 years and I would like to continue. Have you found a good ballet school?

I have not found one yet as I am still in the US until June. All of the web site I have found are in German. I am planning on using a German studio as most speak English and all of the ballet moves are in French.

If you have any luck- Please let me know!! I would hate for them to get far behind their peers and friends.

Thanks!

We have been in Germany for a year and a half and my dughter attends a Germany ballet school www.ballettschule-michna.de/eng/find_us.htm.

You can read about it at this website. My daughter is 11 and has been dancing for eight years. Tony, her instructor speaks English, Russin, German and French. My daughter has had no problems following and progressing in the classes. There are also two other American girls in the class. The school is close to all the housing areas in Wiesbaden. Currently there are also ballet classes being offered on post and the air field but mostly for younger students. Hope this helps.
