12 days--how many jeans? HELP!

I just opend my closet and realized that I wanted to take over 9 pairs of jeans for our Feb. 12 day trip to Munich, Venice and Italy.

Pleaseeee help me determine what a reasonable # of jeans would be!!

Thanks

For what it%26#39;s worth (and some may think this is gross) - we have gone to Europe the last three years for about 14 days. I bring three pair of jeans. Unless you sweat alot (not likely in February) or spill something all over yourself, that%26#39;s enough. I hang up the pair I have worn that day and wear another pair and just switch off.

Jeans are pretty generic and no one is going to know that the jeans you have on today you wore yesterday - or, for the last two days, for that matter.

If you want to pack light and be light on your feet, cutting down on luggage size and weight is the only way to go.

If you have an opportunity to wash - then 3 pairs will do the trick. We are going for 5 weeks, and only 2 pairs of jeans will be put in and one pair of smart pants

I don%26#39;t take jeans at all -- they%26#39;re heavy, hard to wash, and take forever to dry.

I take 2-3 pairs of tailored trousers (Dockers or similar, dark colors don%26#39;t show stains) -- they look nice, are comfortable, and can be quickly and easily washed -- whether in a laundromat or in the tub. They%26#39;ll usually be dry enough to wear by morning.

I totally agree with Sunshine 817!

So, one pair of jeans, one pair of tailored pants, and a third dressy pair- silk or whatever. Remember to bring one of those instant stain removal pens (Tide or whatever) because you don%26#39;t want to travel with damp pants after an accidental spillage!
